Call for 2022 Poster Proposals

Your expertise and willingness to share your knowledge play a vital role in advancing best practices in women’s health. Presenting at the AWHONN Convention ensures that your presentation will be received by a highly skilled and influential body of nurses. The 2022 AWHONN Convention, taking place June 25-29 at the Gaylord Rockies Convention Center in Aurora, CO, offers many opportunities for you to bring your knowledge to the table.


Call for Poster Proposals – Deadline February 7, 2022


Poster Presentation Categories Include:
  • Education: evidence-based content that promotes inclusive educational programs and processes for women, birthing people of diverse gender identities, newborns, families, or nurses.
  • Practice: evidence-based clinical content related to inclusive nursing care provided for women, birthing people of diverse gender identities, and newborns.
  • Leadership: evidence-based content related to advocating for resolutions that impact inclusive nursing care of women, birthing people of diverse gender identities, and newborns.
  • Research: scientific content from qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods studies about issues associated with inclusive nursing care and education provided for women, birthing people, and newborns.
  • Evidenced-Based Practice: projects that utilize clinical experience, patient values and perspectives, and current science to determine answers to a clinical question; usually incorporate a framework in project design; models include but are not limited to John Hopkins Model, IOWA Model, Ohio Model, Ace Star Model, and the Russwurm and Larrabee Model.
  • Quality Improvement: projects focus on improving health delivery, improving the health of individuals, families, and communities, and reducing costs associated with health care; utilizes a framework to guide the project, which includes but is not limited to the PDCA, PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma, CARE and FADE models.
Call for Poster Proposals Submissions Deadline
All submissions must be completed no later than 11:59 pm EST on Monday, February 7, 2022. Notifications of the Program Committee’s decisions will be sent in March 2022.
